Most plastic materials, polyamide, polyurethane, elastomer, acrylic, polyester, TPU, PEEK, ABS, PEI, regardless of the technology: SLS, SLA, FDM, MJF, injection, molding, can be colored with our dyes.
The parameters will need to be adjusted (dilution, bath temperature, and dipping time).
For optimal results, the size of the parts, regardless of their geometry, should be about the size of an orange (10x10x10 cm).
The final result depends on the dye parameters and the material itself.
Mastery of these parameters allows for reproducibility of the achieved colors.
It is possible to partially bleach a non-conforming part by immersing it in an appropriate bleaching bath.
The dyeing process was probably too fast and/or the agitation of the parts was ineffective.
After the dye bath, the part needs to be carefully rinsed.
Our products are guaranteed without any color deviation for a storage period of 1 year under normal storage conditions.
When used, diluted with water and heated, the dye baths have a limited lifespan.
Dyes can be mixed to obtain a wide range of colors. We can match a color and deliver the dye in your chosen color.
Your equipment choice allows for the industrialization of dyeing.
Yes, the dry polishing process gives perfect results on resin parts: polyester, epoxy, acrylic, and photo-curable resins.
Dry polishing products are ineffective on polyamide parts.
Polyamide is difficult to polish; a water polishing process with abrasive media, such as CPA15 cones, should be used.
Ultrasonic cleaning of the parts between each polishing step is necessary to avoid potential barrel contamination.
Regularly, “restocking” a barrel by replacing the sticks with clean ones is necessary.
Parts should be polished before coloring and have a perfect surface finish to avoid highlighting surface defects.
However, an ultimate treatment with self-glossing pastes after coloring brings shine and a waterproof protection to the part.
TCN offers a complete range of polishing bars.
They can be used for plastic materials and noble metals.
Our products are not dangerous if the basic rules for the use of chemical products are respected and the instructions in the SDS are followed.
Our products comply with current European regulations. For specific requirements, please contact us.
UV resistance depends on the color (bright, dull, light, dark), the plastic material, and the dyeing conditions.
The dyes have a solidity of 5-6-7 on a scale of 1 to 7.
Our dyes and polishing products are not regulated for ADR/IMDG/IATA transport.
The safety data sheets for our products are sent with your first order and each time the product is modified. They are available upon request: office@color-tcn.com
Wastewater is treated in accordance with current legislation. It is possible to limit the quantity of wastewater.
Some coagulants allow for initial purification by precipitation/flocculation to transform wastewater into rinse water.
