In this month of March 2023, Techniques Chimiques Nouvelles celebrates its 60th anniversary!
This is an opportunity for our entire team to thank all our customers, some of whom have been loyal to us since our creation in 1963.
This constancy attests to the quality of our offer.
It is based on our dyeing products for all types of plastics and our cellulose acetate polishing pastes.
It also includes all of our support services for the implementation of your coloring and polishing processes.
60 years of existence, we are proud of our history and heritage.
TCN was created in March 1963, by a passionate chemist, Claude Rousseau, who developed a new technique for coloring cellulose acetate spectacle frames.
It is from this story that the name Techniques Chimiques Nouvelles (TCN) comes from.
In 1977, Claude Rousseau handed over to his son, François Rousseau, whose main strategic focus was international development.
In 2007, TCN’s R&D Director, Valérie Weil, became TCN’s CEO.
From then on, Valérie Weil’s objective is to develop the company around major strategic axes:
- To consolidate and develop the international business,
- To further strengthen TCN’s chemical expertise by hiring a new team of highly qualified R&D engineers,
- Identify new growth drivers such as the coloring of 3D printing parts,
- And finally obtain certifications and analysis reports from independent laboratories.
To achieve these objectives, TCN has been committed for several years to a quality and environmental approach.
This approach is based on four commitments: customer satisfaction, multi-sector expertise, internal performance/continuous improvement and the deployment of an environmental approach.
- Customer satisfaction
In addition to dyeing products and polishing pastes, TCN offers many customized services.
Our customers testify to our responsiveness and our ability to support them at every stage of the implementation of their coloring and polishing process.
They also appreciate the completeness of our offer thanks to our partnerships with manufacturers of machines and polishing barrels.
Furthermore, we invite you to visit us at the following international trade shows: Mido Milan, Opti Münich, Silmo Paris, Formnext Frankfurt, TCT Detroit, AMS New York, Amug Chicago, Première Vision Paris.
This is an opportunity for us to meet you, to discuss your needs for coloring 3D printing parts, tinting of organic lenses, polishing of cellulose acetate frames or polishing of acetate buttons…
- Multi-sector know-how
Our coloring products are aimed at many sectors of activity: the coloring of parts resulting from additive manufacturing, the tinting of acetate eyeglass frames, the coloring of organic lenses in CR39, polycarbonate or polyamide, the tinting of buttons, the polishing of eyeglass frames and parts made of cellulose acetate.
- Internal performance and continuous improvement
We have obtained in 2021, the ISO9001:2015 standard and are on the way to new certifications.
- The deployment of an environmental approach
We have recently launched a new range of eco-friendly polishing pastes.
You can consult our entire polishing process with the new polishing pastes here:

They are used to polish mainly cellulose acetate eyeglass frames but also all acetate parts.
These new pastes are entirely made of bio sourced solvents.
These eco-friendly polishing pastes offer superior performance and better quality than previous versions while being environmentally friendly.
We are also working to minimize the pictograms on the packaging of our dyeing and polishing products.
Then we are part of a voluntary CSR process.
Our latest CSR report can be downloaded here:

In 2022, in order to support its growth, TCN invested in its new headquarters in Essonne. Among other things, we were able to double our production capacity and invest in a new laboratory.
We are happy to continue this adventure with you, to continue to innovate with ever more ecofriendly products!
